Credit unions throughout the country have stepped up and are providing assistance in various forms to the federal workers affected by the government shutdown. Triangle has developed the following programs to assist our members on a case-by-case basis upon request:

Skip a Payment

Currently Triangle offers members the opportunity to skip two loan payments within a 12-month period and a fee is charged. During the shutdown, we will waive the fee for members who are federal employees affected by the shutdown.

Pay Advance

Triangle will advance the NET pay (up to a month depending on when the shutdown ends) based on your last payroll that was received through direct deposit. Members who utilize this program will be required to sign a form acknowledging this advance, and that the amount advanced will be deducted from their payroll once it is reinstated.

Penalty-Free CD Withdrawal

If you are an effected federal employee who has a CD with Triangle and need to access the funds, we will allow a withdrawal from the CD without penalty. This will not change the terms of the CD. This program is strictly for a partial withdrawal to assist with cash flow.
