President's Message: Summer 2019

Comment  July 2, 2019 by, A. Scott MacKnight, CEO/President

New England is home to innovation and ingenuity. With this combination, it is not surprising that New Hampshire is growing in small business ventures. According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), 99% of businesses within our state are small business enterprises. As of 2018, there are 133,676 small businesses registered in NH.  Interestingly, over 50% of the state’s workforce is employed by small businesses. These facts are significant because it means we are in an environment that is ripe for entrepreneurship; if you have a business or are ready to start one, we can help.

Triangle Credit Union’s Commercial Services team provides local business owners with a full array of products and services including Free Business Checking, Business Savings, Business CDs, HSAs, and more. Triangle also offers competitive rate Term Loans, Business Lines of Credit, Stand-By Letters of Credit, Construction and Real Estate Loans. In addition, Triangle is an award winning partner of the SBA—most recently winning the 2019 New Hampshire and New England Financial Services Champion of the Year Award (see left); so, if you are ready to take your business to the next level, we have the tools and team to help your business grow.

In addition to our business services, we have personal products that offer homeowners an advantage in completing their summer projects.   If you are planning to replace your deck, add a new bathroom, or update your kitchen, we invite you to call us about our competitive Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) products.  We offer both 80% and 100% loan-to-value lines, which means you may have borrowing options to get those projects done.  Contact our mortgage originators to discuss your plans or email us at to get started!

On behalf of Triangle, I wish you a most enjoyable summer.

A. Scott MacKnight
