President's Message: Fall 2018

Comment  October 3, 2018 by Maurice D. Simard, Jr., President/CEO

It’s been said that, “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life”—I won’t go so far to say that it hasn’t been work, but it certainly has been my pleasure to lead Triangle Credit Union for the past 32 years.

During my tenure, there have been many peaks and valleys of our financial landscape that required fluid and fast response to our market areas. While the decisions were mine to make, the team of professionals at Triangle delivered the directives. To the Triangle staff and management team, I express my appreciation for the confidence extended and the support you have shown.

In addition to the Triangle team, it has been my honor to work with our Board of Directors. Faces of board members have changed over the years, but each one has dedicated countless hours to serve our organization and the needs of our membership.

It has been a privilege to represent our credit union within our community. I have been enriched as a result of serving on boards and committees for organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, NH Credit Union League, the CU National PAC, and the World Council of Credit Unions.

Lastly, I wish to thank the members of Triangle Credit Union; we have grown substantially over the past 32 years—both in assets and in membership. Your support of the credit union is unparalleled, and I’ve appreciated the challenges of growing with you.

On December 31, 2018, I will take the next step in my life journey. While there are many aspects of my role that will be missed, I am truly looking forward to this next phase, and will always be grateful to have spent my previous life step with all of you.

With heartfelt thanks,

Maurice D. Simard, Jr.
